What is BWRT®?
Start living your best life now. BWRT® can help you overcome whatever is stopping you from being the person you want to be.BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®, or BWRT®, is a therapeutic treatment developed by Terence Watts, after thousands upon thousands of hours working with his patients in therapy settings.
Watch this video for a really great explanation of how it works from the man who first devised this therapy, Terence Watts.
BWRT®, or BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®, is used all over the world as a results-focused, non-hypnotic therapy to help people change their response when faced with an event, memory or other trigger that stimulates an anxious or traumatic response.
Put simply – if there’s something in your life that’s causing you anxiety, panic attacks, an ongoing underlying feeling of fear or even a phobia, BWRT® can take it away. You don’t even need to name that fear out loud to your therapist, if you don’t want to, you can keep whatever it is that causes it wholly to yourself, making this the most private, discrete form of therapy you could hope for.
It’s fast, powerful and effective. And it lasts, usually forever. You won’t need to learn any post-therapy tricks or triggers – no tapping, pinching, meditations are needed. Once your therapy is complete, it’s complete.
How can BWRT® help?
BWRT® is effective at treating a wide variety of anxiety-related issues, from anxiety in the face of certain situations such as job interviews or dental appointments to past traumas (from assault to sudden loss to life-changing accidents) to PTSD, panic attacks, low self-esteem, and more.
As you heard in the video, BWRT® is used across the world by clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, hypnotherapists and counsellors all over the world, even in some militaries and police forces.
This powerful, life changing therapy is based upon the knowledge that there is a moment’s gap between your response to a stimulus and your awareness of that response. It’s called the cognitive gap and what it means is that while you can control your response from the moment you recognise it, there is a moment where the subconscious part of your brain has control and it is in that moment that it decides your response. You can stop an action after it has started, but you actually can’t stop the action before it starts. the cognitive gap is, no doubt, a pre-historic defence mechanism from a time when even a split second could make the difference between survival or death, and having your subconscious brain start an action before your conscious brain has time to consider it was a powerful survival tool. It’s no doubt still very useful today, in certain circumstances, but when it’s causing a stress reaction, it’s not helpful. BWRT® doesn’t attempt to treat the stress reaction, it is focussed at what happens during that cognitive gap – and changing your brain’s subconscious response to whatever stimulus causes you the stress.
